I want you to tell me how to kill… June 5, 2008

… My six-month old Razer Lycosa keyboard.

RazerLycosa-lg.jpg

It started its life as a good, functional keyboard with an impressive list of features and design decisions. It is going to end its life in a pile of parts ground into the dirt in a landfill in northern Nevada. Why, you ask? Because the company that manufactured it, Razer, has failed me for the last time.

I’m no Darth Vader, or Emperor Palpatine, but what I am is a consumer that’s simply decided he’s had enough. And as this keyboard has no neck to choke, and would only react to electrocution in a less than properly impressive fashion short of a Tesla coil, I have determined that the price for failing me is going to involve bullets. Perhaps only one. Perhaps several.

The exact means of this keyboard’s demise, I am leaving up to you, the reader. Please watch the video above to see more of my motivation, and check the pages on this site for the FAQ about Kill My Razer Lycosa, as well as the pages for the guns I may use and the keyboard itself. Then, when you have decided what you’d like to see, tell me. And on a date to be announced shortly, I will fulfill the wishes of the crowd. I will upload a video of the execution to my site as well as YouTube, as soon as the deed is done. The tentative date for the destruction of this keyboard is June 30th, with video up for the 4th of July holiday weekend.

A keyboard will die in the desert. Alone, all but for the echoes of gunfire and the sound of my laughter.
